He is Seven

Today, my son is seven.
It is truly a blessing to be able to parent this young man.

He has grown to become a very protective and responsible brother to his younger sister.  I can remember we were at the mall's play area and one of the boys (also about 5 years old) was trying to hug his sister, he just came up to this young boy and said, "hey, don't hug her, she's my sister".  That was just one of the cutest thing that he has done to step up and be a big brother.
He has also grown to become a very loving and affectionate young man.

He is a hugger and a kisser♥   Most of the kids his age in his school, they already feel embarrassed to kiss their moms or dads but him, he wants me to stop by at his classroom after I drop his sister off, because he wants to hug and kiss me.  I enjoy every moment of it because one day, when he is older, he may not be kissing or hugging me and his dad as much he does now.  Although I am optimistic that he will still do that even when he is already grown up.♥
There is more to this young man than I can even talk about.  He has a very inquisitive mind that asks so many questions, he also sometimes challenges my decision or his daddy's decision.  He is also very smart and he knows that, so we instill in his core values that being humble is very important.
He is also a talker...I mean...serious talker...he talks and talks and talks and talks, sometimes he get's in trouble in school for talking too much. ☺ He knows very well that it is also important to listen to others to learn.

We just want him to be good and we wish him the very best this life can offer.
Until then..

[Petites Fashion] Coral Jeans with Whites

But what this post is - all about real people(that's you and me) fashion, that are petite but not so skinny.  Outfits that I actually wore to work or go somewhere.
Today's Petites Fashion is something very casual and easy-going.  Here, I am wearing a coral jeans which is perfect for spring, actually any bright colored jeans, like yellow, green, blue, etc.  It brings up the spring into your outfit.

I so love wearing colored jeans in the spring and summer♥
I paired my coral jeans with a white sequined top and white cardigan to keep it down a little bit since I am already wearing a bright-colored jeans.
I don't know why that day I was in the duck-face mood, but anyway my sister and I had so much fun taking that day's outfit. ♥

Then finally, I wore a T-strap flat sandals and messy hair.

I hope you enjoyed my petites fashion post for today! Until then...

Truly Blessed

Growing up as a child, my older sister and I are very close.  I mean we also fight but I consider her as my best friend as well.

We use to dream about owning a house, a car, a great job, wonderful loving husband and a family of our own.  I am very thankful to God that he blessed me with everything and most for my sister.

Until recently, my sister and her husband were finally able to own their house!
It was a dream come true and a true blessing.

I am so happy for her because it was a very beautiful house and the size was perfect for them.
I can also remember when we were little, we did not even have our own rooms because we were six siblings and there was only 1 bedroom in the house, so it was for Mama and Papa.
What we used to do was that when it was time for us to sleep, we grab our pillow and blanket in the bedroom, look for a spot anywhere in the house - be it the sofa, floor, chair.

It has worked for us all those years.  And to finally own a house, it is truly a blessing!
We are very thankful and grateful for all the hard work that we are so blessed.

She is very happy!  They are both happy!
They've had their lovely home blessed and warmed by friends and family.
Congratulations to you my dear sister and brother-in-law!  We love you!

And with that, let me leave you with this quote...Until then...

Our Kitchen Update | Painted with SW Comfort Gray

When we finally installed our kitchen backsplash, I knew right away that I need to paint the kitchen walls.

In terms of the color - I was looking at grays, blues & greens because I don't want the wall color to be so different from our backsplash choice and tried to visualize my home as a whole.  I wanted it to be simple, easy on the eyes and classic with the intention of keeping it longer.

So I initially chose Minor Blue.
It looks perfect.

So one Friday, I purchased the sample paint first so I can see if it is really perfect.  Painted one side of the wall above the kitchen cabinet that night, it actually looked great at first while the paint was still wet.

The next morning when I woke up, I immediately went downstairs to look at it again.  (excuse the mess)
But gosh, it was just way too blue for me.  The intention was to make the backsplash as the main feature of our kitchen but it looks like the paint is taking over that.

So I went back in the drawing board again and then I saw this photo and fell in love with it.

My kitchen wall color is Sherwin Williams - Comfort Gray
If this color is versatile enough to be in these spaces, I would love to have this in my kitchen and carry it on along around our home.

So I went ahead and bought a gallon.  Nope! No paint sample this time.  I feel 100%!

That Saturday morning, I rolled my sleeves and get on with it.  The painting part wasn't too bad but the taping?! Gosh there is no faster way to do it.
This is my first big painting project and the painting is super relaxing and very therapeutic for me...I could go on and on and on....
I started repainting that part of the kitchen wall where I painted with minor blue.  Then carried on towards the side of the wall above the microwave.
Totally loving it!

The shade is purfect! It is gray but with a hint of blue and green to it, depending on the lighting or to what time of the day.
I do love it so much.  It was something that is so neutral...so cool...so calm...so clean...and it does not overshadow the backsplash at all.

This side of the kitchen wall used to have our home command center.
It was okay at first but it became such an eye soar later on.  As we use that space, more and more papers pile up on that side of the kitchen and I was having trouble catching up with the filing away, shredding and organizing.
So I ripped everything out, patched it and painted it.
The hallway from the garaged to the house was also painted the same color.
I wish I had a better camera to show you how beautiful the color is.

The door to the garage needs some painting, if you can see on the photo above, thinking of dark gray for it but not really final on that just yet.

All in all, I am so pleased with the hard work that I put into this space, it makes me happy.  The gallon that I bought for this project was not even used up, so I can definitely use the leftover to the rest of the home.
What do you think?  Until then...
