There was a left over paint from the kitchen painting project and you know that feeling when your hands are just itching to use up that left over paint from a previous project?
That's how I feel. I mean, it makes me want to paint almost anything I see in the house. Granting that I have all the time in the world.
So that's what happened with this kitchen island.
I learned from Megan from Honey We're Home (thanks girl) to add Floetrol to reduce brush and roller marks. How cool it is too that she also used SW comfort gray on her home as well.

Then the kitchen island got a paint job, but not on the side where the drawers and the cabinets are.
And floetrol is truly amazing - no brush or roller marks at all! I super love it!!

This project only took me a small amount of time but it looks so rewarding and refreshing. My kids were there in the living room watching and playing while I was painting.
It has 2 thin coats of paint with complete drying in between that. It dries pretty fast so it wasn't a big deal to wait since this is a small surface to paint.
The kitchen is now slowly becoming my style and very thrilled about it.
Until then...
Looks great. I have my island on my to do list, so I need to get with it.
