Cleaning | Expired Canned Goods Disposal

Okay, it slipped my mind that I am supposed to be checking the canned goods cabinet for expired ones.

One weekend while I was stacking the groceries on this cabinet.  I realized the lack of space, so I made some re-arranging and that's when I saw an expired can.

Unbelievable that I even found some that has been expired since Nov 2014.  I know - pretty bad, right?

That's when I realized to check for some expired cans.

Emptied everything out to wipe it clean.

Although I am definite that these expired cans while they're in the cabinet, they will never be consumed because it has been my habit to check the can before consuming or letting my kids consume it.  But still - it needs to go - in the trash - where they belong.

To have these much of stuff that needs to be thrown in the trash makes me feel so guilty.

But knowing that they are no longer consumable, I had to do it.  

It actually felt good to know that what's left on this cabinet....are all consumable.

The plan is to keep checking at least once a month for expired cans.  How often do you check yours?
