The SuperBlogger | So Much To Make

The spotlight is on to Kelley of So Much To Make's beautiful wreath!

There is always a better way to dress up your front door and that is to hang a wreath.
And this wreath that Kelley made was not only inexpensive, it was super easy too.

According to Kelley

"2 Wreaths for Under $20"  Tutorial for making two beautiful, trendy burlap wreaths for your home (or for a friend!).  This tutorial uses some unconventional materials, and it includes how-to's on making burlap flowers. It is fast, fun, and affordable!

[Petites Fashion] Booties, Skinnys & Navy

But what this post is - all about real people(that's you and me) fashion, that are petite but not so skinny.  Outfits that I actually wore to work or go somewhere.
Yep, we can wear booties like I did with this outfit, just kind of loosely tuck in your skinnys to make it look a little effortless.
You may also wear your faded-on-the-knees skinnys just like I did here for a relaxed look.  The navy printed top I'm wearing is one of my buys from Dillards not too long ago and this was on sale for $7.  This can be worn on spring and summer time too because of it's back opening.  Although on a colder weather you might want to wear a camis under it.
Then wear a long necklace and a pink watch to complete the look.
I hope you enjoyed my petites fashion post for today! Until then...
You may shop below for the items or similar items that I'm wearing on this post.

Kids Always Have Fun in the Snow

The only thing that makes me happy when it is snowing...

is this...
We've had a lot of snow lately and even if I am not so happy about it.  When I see my kids having so much fun playing with the snow, it makes me happy.
They are my snow angels♥
Even if it means that I have to pull them on a sled...It makes me happy♥
But really...I am looking forward for spring and I'm sure these kids are too.

How about in your area? Is spring peeking in just yet?

Until then...

[DIY] Kids Valentines Shirts

If you remember last year, I only did a last minute valentine shirt for my son and that was super cute and super easy.

You know I always like to do quick and easy project.  This year's valentine shirts were also quick and easy.

The Mr. involuntarily helped with this whole!

Supplies: two plain shirts and one sheet of iron-on fabric transfer = $12 total cost

First, the Mr. cut the heart patterns and he decided to use up the whole sheet by cutting the rest of it into small hearts.

When he cut those hearts, we have not really decided as to how we are going to arrange those into the shirts.

We started with my son's shirt first, placing the biggest heart in the middle of the shirt.
Then we kind of arrange the other hearts to make it look like an arrow.
Then we did my daughter's shirt next.

This time we started with the biggest heart on the very top close to the shoulders then work our way down to the smallest heart making it look like an arrow as well.
Ironing the fabric to the shirt is pretty easy, just be careful with the heat of the iron and remember to put a thin cloth(we used a bandana on top of the iron-on fabric before actually ironing it.

After ironing on each hearts to the shirt, remove the think layer of plastic, as in the picture below.
And the shirts re done!
The next morning, since the kids are so excited for their school valentines day, they both woke up earlier than usual.  When I told them that their dad made a special valentine shirts for them,  they got so excited to wear it!

And they look super cute wearing it!!
Until then...

Rent a Book Instead of Buying | Campus Book Rentals

My siblings and I grew up with difficulty in getting what we need.

We were taught in an early age to work hard and help our parents to get through.

We sell all different kinds of stuff that we make or cook at home.

from peanut butter to salted peanuts

to kutsinta to yema (both Filipino dessert)

it was tough

life was tough

but education in our family is IMPORTANT

even though it was tough

my siblings and I all finished our college degrees

not easy

But I remembered back in my college days that I've never purchased my books.

Why? it was expensive and we cannot afford.

All were either borrowed from a friend who was finished with that subject

or spend hours and hours reading in the library and taking down notes

Renting a book would have been helpful if it was available back then in the Philippines.

But it was NOT

Lucky you, it is now available!

Calling all the college-goers and moms or dads of college-goers out there!

Let me introduce you to, a company that actually rents textbooks.
Let me point out the perks of renting textbooks from them:
♥ save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
♥ free shipping both ways
♥ can highlight in the textbooks
♥ flexible renting periods
♥ rent your textbooks without worrying the devaluation at the end of the semester

And the best thing that I like about CampusBookRentals is that they donate to Operation Smile is a charity organization for children – donate non profit with each textbook rented.  Operation Smile is an awesome organization that performs life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families could not otherwise afford it.

They also have a new program called RentBack, they will rent your books to another student and you get paid everytime it is being rented.  Like it yet?☺

Do you want to know how it works? watch this video.
