Coastal-Themed Powder Room Mini-Makeover

You might want to turn any room in your home into coastal feel like I did with our powder room.
It all started with the decor that my friend, Rose, gave me some beach themed home decor.

If you would remember it right, I lined our powder room last year with a flowery shelf liner.  Here's how it looked:
Looking at it, makes me want to rip the liner off and just do something about it.

I don't have a budget for this mini-makeover.  Even though I wanted to paint the wall with a shade of blue, either Benjamin Moore Regal Select semi-gloss slate blue 1648 or BEHR Premium Plus 8 oz. #530E-2 Cool Sky.

That might have to wait.

So.

Ripped the liner off and painted it with white (a paint that our builder left for touch ups).
After painting all three levels white, ahh..what a difference.
Let the paint cured for 2 days.

Then decorate the powder room and done!
That framed "wash your hands" was a project that was made long time ago.  I just printed off from my computer and then inserted it on a yellow-painted frame.
Oh yeah, that's my daughter's potty seat! not mine, lol!

It would be nice to have 3 levels of shelves above the toilet.  One of the things that needs to be done in the future.
That frame on the left above the towel rod is a diy wall art that I did almost two years ago.  It had a tea treatment process to that paper to give it the aged look.  If you want to try it, just click here.

And that was it, my Coastal-Themed Powder Room Mini-Makeover.

Note to self, to do when budget allows in the future:

♥ paint the walls with - Benjamin Moore Regal Select semi-gloss slate blue 1648 or BEHR Premium Plus 8 oz. #530E-2 Cool Sky

♥ place a 3-layer of hanging shelves above the toilet

♥ replace lighting fixture

♥ remove towel rod & replace with a hand-towel ring

♥ refill the soap dispenser with soap, lol!

Thanks for stopping by and until then.

  3. Im just about to convert my toilet into a powder room by adding a basin and mirror etc. I like how you've managed to fit storage into yours as well with the shelving, its not always easy to do in such a small space :) Looks great!
