Pretty Organized Charging Station Drawer

***Update: Guest posted this over to Chic on a Shoestring Decorating.***
Our chargers in the house is a hot mess!  Tangled cords here and there.

So I decided to dedicate the top drawer on our nightstand to be the charging station drawer.
But why don't we take a look back how this drawer looked before it had a makeover.
I do like organizing. period.  But making it "pretty" organized is what I love more, it makes me want to keep it looking like that.

Chalk paint has been used a lot but I haven't used it yet and what a perfect place for me to try that on the drawer.  If I mess up, nobody's gonna see it really.  I bought the same thing that Cassie used for her nightstand but in everlasting white.

Painting was easy, weather is cold so I painted inside and I'm glad that there was no smell to it at all!  After two coats then I have this.
Then thought about adding some bling to it, why not gold polka dots?!
Finally purchased a gold sharpie (affiliate link) which I used to make some polka dots on the drawer.
I know, I know...who would see this? Call me crazy but everytime I see it, it just makes me smile...

You want to know how I did those almost perfect circles?  I used this staedler template (affiliate link) to make that, used a pencil to outline it then shade it with the gold sharpie.
And oh how i love the gold polka dots on it!
A liner to the sides and to the front-inside of the drawer to finish it off and voila! I have a pretty organized charging station drawer!
Thanks for stopping by my dear friends, until then...

Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods

Now that I have been learning how to enjoy some baking with crafting like the chocolate-covered pretzels, it looks like I am kind of addicted to into it - makes me want to chocolate cover anything!

On my son's Valentines party, I get to do that.  I made some chocolate-dipped pretzel rods♥
I followed the same steps on the chocolate-covered pretzels, the only difference was I added some white chocolate drizzle over the pretzels.

Last Minute Valentine Shirt for my Son

Hello, hello! I hope you are linking like crazy on this week's The DIY'ers

Today, I am going to share the last minute valentine shirt that my son wore to his class valentines party.
I knew I was gonna make something for him to wear and then time got away with me.

Here comes Thursday night, still he has nothing to wear for the party.  I thought about covering his Christmas Truck shirt with a huge heart since the shirt is red but I cannot find the perfect fabric to make a heart.

While browsing at my supplies, still hoping to find a good fabric to make a heart out of it, I saw the felt heart scatters that I bought from last year.  I thought purrfect!!

[Valentines] My Son's School Valentines Card with a Toy

Last year I did not have an opportunity to personalize my son's Valentine Card, that being said, it was bought from a store.  Although the treats were a little crafty, I wish it was more personal.

Growing up as a child, we did not have that liberty to have a valentines party in grade school.  The only party that I can actually remember that we do in school is Christmas Party.  And so having an opportunity to actually make some personal valentines cards for my son to give out to his classmates, is more than fun for me...kind of emotional...

While I was working on the cards over at cardstore, my favorite is this.
And why not make some for his cousin who's also in kindergarten like him.
Cardstore partnered with me on this project but let me tell you this, the price is totally worth it because when the card arrived in the mail - I am very impressed.
There was an option for me to sign my son's name at the back of it already & that was a plus because it takes him a long while to finish all 24 cards to sign.  The back of the card looks super fun too!
My son's valentine treats last year was simple and cute but this year it is a lot better.

I just bought some spring toys in two colors, red & pink.  No candies or chocolates because I'm pretty sure these kids will be getting more of that on that day than they actually can handle..♥

Punched a hole on the card and attached the spring to the card using a valentines ribbon.
There you have it!  My son now has a very personal valentines cards for his classmates!♥

How about you?  Did you have time to make your own cards for your children?

To know more about Cardstore and to get more inspiration, visit their blog.  They not only have Valentines Cards, they have cards of all kinds!

**Cardstore gave me a code to purchase free Valentine's Day cards. No compensation was received on this post and all opinions are my own.

[Valentine] Chocolate-Covered Pretzels

Home For4 Sweet Home
"Sometimes all you need to do is just go for it.  It's not really that bad as you think it would be."  That's what I realized when I finally tried making this chocolate-covered pretzels.♥

Before I got married & had children, I never had any enthusiasm into learning something as simple & easy as this.   And all the cooking or baking stuff is kind of intimidating for me.  I would rather just BUY IT.
Fast-forward to today with two little kids, my outlook in life cooking or baking is 360 degrees different from what it was before.  I would rather make it and make my children feel proud that their mom made it for them☺  Are you like that too?

Sometimes, it's more fun when you let their hands get dirty as well...☺
And we thought we'd be able to wait for it on Valentines Day to consume it.  NO.  We ate it all.  Every single piece of it.♥
Let me share to you a couple of things that I learned on this project.

1) Sprinkle while it's still warm.
2) Shake the excess chocolate.

As for the process of making it, you can find 1001 ways how to do it everywhere but the one I used is from Cooking and Crafting

And it is not rocket science.  Here try it yourself for fun!

Favorite Movies Perfect for Valentines Day♥

I love watching romantic movies period.  I'm glad that The Mr. watches it with me occasionally.  One of the sweetest things he did was he recorded my favorite movie ♥ would have been sweeter if he bought me a dvd though...lol!

And with the Valentines Day just peeking around the corner, I want to share to you all my romance-loving friends my favorite movie of all times.

"The Notebook".  Gosh!  The best love story that I've watched in my lifetime♥
30 Most Romantic Movies of All Time
Credit: New Line Cinema/Courtesy Everett Collection
The part that always makes me cry every time I watch this movie is when Noah said:

“So, it's not gonna be easy. It's gonna be really hard. We're gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, you and me, every day. Will you do something for me, please? Just picture your life for me? Thirty years from now, forty years from now? What's it look like? If it's with him- go. Go! I lost you once, I think I can do it again, if I thought that's what you really wanted. But don't you take the easy way out.”

Aww...I really like Ryan Gosling's character in this movie and Rachel McAdams is equally good in this movie as well.  Five star for me all the way.  I think I'm gonna watch it again over the weekend.♥

But let me share some movies that are also perfect for valentines day movie date in.
