Don't wait for your FREE DAY to make your home TIDY!

Oh yeah! Instead of waiting for your free day (which is an impossibility when you are a mom and much more a working-mom!) to make your home tidy...

Why not try these 3 quick tips to a quick home cleaning:

1 Wipe instead of gripe. Everytime you see some dirt on the table, dust on the floor or some splatter on your microwave and oven-top, wipe it.  That way it is easier to wipe it off while it's still fresh rather than doing it later on and you'll need more effort to deep-clean it.
Wipe that small spill inside your refrigerator before taking that gallon of milk out.  That way, you will not forget to wipe because your refrigerator is still open.

You don't need to know who did that and gripe about it, just wipe it.

2 Pick it up and put it up.  Even how good you are at training your kids to pick up their clothes, toys, shoes and backpacks, they will still SOMETIMES forget to do that.

Why not pick it up and put it up where it's supposed to be.  But while we do that, let's not forget at our "mom-trick" of sending the message to them by doing the "this-is-not-supposed-to-be-here" kind of look (insert: big-round-eyes-stare ♥).  So that hopefully, they will remember to put it up next time.
3 Clean as you go.  This is like a universal rule of a good housekeeping.

After brushing your teeth, leave the sink and the mirror clean.
What's 5 seconds of wiping that mirror clean?

Clear out your counter tops from unnecessary stuff - file your mails away. Basket them in if you can't file them right now, that way your counter is clutter-free.

You'll see how much tidier your home will be with these 3 quick tips.  These are our great ways to making home-cleaning effortless and less time-consuming.

I would love to hear from you if any of these quick tips helped you, so come back and leave me a comment.

Rain

{via}

It's raining right here right now....

I never complain about the rain....

I like staring blankly in the rain....

It washes away everything that's going
on in my brain....

It is very mesmerizin'....

{via}
Rain can make the flowers bloom....

And make everybody forget about
the gloom....

Then the kids will go outside their rooms....

To enjoy the outdoor boom....
Rain can grow and make the
grass greener....

So you can go outside and use
your mower....

Why not keep on raining....

So all of us can keep on dancing....
But rain can be devastating....

So I am praying that it will stop sooner than later....

Because it can =>

flood a place in the most unexpected ways....like Amy's front yard...
drown a whole home...
{via}
will make the flowers and grass die of too much water....
{via}
or worse can flood  the whole nation....

so let's pray to the Lord to get ONLY enough rain....

{Digital Cleaning} Iphone Cleaning part 2

To continue with my iphone cleaning that I started a couple of days ago, here's my part 2.

Okay I am done moving out the photos and videos from my iphone to my laptop..now organizing my laptop's photos and videos deserves another post of its own.
Our iphone is always with us that we use it with almost everything...right?

and guess what? We have a tendency to get excited with downloading apps...how can you not? lol!

We have games apps to entertain our kids while we're on the go.

We have money-saving apps to help our finances and eventually better our financial health.

And a whole lot more...

So as part of my spring cleaning {digital cleaning} - I decided to remove my unused apps.
In doing this process, you may ask yourself these questions to help you on your decision which app to remove.

♥ how many times did you think you used it?

♥ is this a redundant app - meaning you might have two or more of the same purpose?

And when you finally decide which apps to remove...
then just tap that x on the upper left-side of it and wave that app goodbye!

It is that easy and that liberating...

You will be surprised how much space you have freed up by doing this.

goodluck! huggies♥

Main Entry Table

Hello everyone, here's my current main entry table.

That's where it landed? so predictable huh! ♥
Guess what? I took a lot of pictures of my current main entry table...a whole lot of pictures and that is the only one that looks presentable for my blog.

Everytime this happens, it makes me want to buy an awesome camera.  I don't know when that's gonna happen though, I've got a lot of on top of my priority list...

...it's all about the money, money ♥

{Introduction}Spring Cleaning is here! [part 1]

Another exciting thing that I will be undertaking this spring.

I will tackle all about cleaning in three categories:
organizing
home cleaning
digital cleaning

Spring time is always a perfect time to do cleaning because of it's weather, neither too hot nor too cold.  It allows us to go outside and work on whatever things that we need to get done and I am so excited to do this with you guys.

Hope you'll follow along as I post all about spring cleaning and some cleaning tips in between.

The first one that I tackled is under digital cleaning - my iphone.
Oh yeah, i have 1,197 photos & 159 videos in my iphone and I think I am not the worst, don't judge me..lol!

Like most of us do, I use my iphone to take photos and videos of everything because my iphone is always in my possession (almost always).

First, I connected my iphone to my laptop (make sure that your itunes is not running before doing that).
There will be a popup window showing options on what you want to do with your iphone.
I chose "open device to view files" - because in that way, I have flexibility to choose what photos to move to which folder in my computer.
Then right-click, select all, choose "cut" instead of "copy" because in that way you will move the photos from your iphone.

I dump all my photos and videos in my laptop and then I organize it from there.

I started organizing it by 2 months and then I separated those photos of special event, such as birthdays, thanksgiving, vacation, etc and place them all in one folder by year.

There are numerous ways of storing your photos - there's cloud, usb, memory card, cd, etc...you have a lot of choices.

...and I chose cd...why? because i felt that was the easiest for me and i can also label the cd's to what are the contents of each of them.

Just cut and paste - again, make sure you choose "cut" instead of "copy" to move the photos from your laptop to the cd.

Come back for more spring cleaning posts!

My new found "new uses for old things".

You might wanna start collecting coasters from every restaurant or bar you go, because all you need to do is just punch a hole & insert a ribbon of your choice
and you have a personalized gift tag!

Can't seem to iron that spot in-between buttons of your shirt?
Well worry no more, use your straightening iron to do that part for you!

Surprise your recipient when sending your box with a bunch of popcorn! lol!
Instead of using bubble wrap or styrofoam, use a bunch of popcorn..

Reader Asked {SIY: Hamper Tutorial}

Almost a month ago, I posted about my first SIY(Sew-It-Yourself) project with my mom, our SIY: Hamper.
Yesterday, I received an email from Cassie asking for a tutorial or tips on making one.

Here's her email to me:

"Hi I just found your blog as I was searching for a sewing pattern to replace the exact same hamper from Walmart.   You don't need to send me a step by step if you haven't already put one together. But do you have any tips or tricks that would help?  I'm going to attempt it just by copying the original bag in sturdier fabric.
Yours looks great!
Thanks very much!"

I am so thrilled about this because somebody randomly found me while searching in the www and she took her time to contact me.
And here I am so giddy inside, sharing this to y'all ♥

So this is my email to her:

Hi Cassie,

I'm so glad you found my blog and also for taking your time to contact me.  My original hamper was also from Walmart, it's not that it's no good at all but you know how it is when they say "that's what you get for the price you pay", that's what it was.  Anyway, I purchased a lot of stuff from Walmart and they STILL are one of the inexpensive places ever.

Apologies as I have not come up with a step-by-step tutorial but here are my tips on making your own hamper:

1. Choose your fabric wisely - sturdier to be specific like utility fabric or nylon/outdoor fabrics.
2. Measure your fabric to fit - use a tape measure to measure your fabric or you may also take the old fabric and use it as your pattern in making the new one.

Note: Provide an allowance on all ends of your fabric of at least 3 inches.  This will give you enough room for measurement errors.
3. Mark where to sew - use a fabric marker to mark your fabric where to sew, this will guide you & your machine.

4. Pin it - when it comes to creating the pocket where the rod is supposed to be, use a straight pin to hold it while you sew your fabric.
5. Sew in sections - when you're done with one section, stop and take out your fabric, look at it or try it on to the metal frame.  This will help you gauge if you're sewing the right way or the right side or the right size.

6. Adjust to fit - when you're finally done, try in on to the metal frame to see if it fits, if not, go ahead mark where you need to adjust.
I hope these tips will be enough for you to go for it!
