Exciting Thing Happening in 2014 & Hoping for More to Come!

As you have been all aware that the Fun Friday Blog Hop(FFBH) was retired already.  It was quite emotional but change is always better.

So today, I am beyond thrilled to announce an exciting thing happening in 2014!  I will be co-hosting an awesome party called "The DIY'ers"!
It is originally hosted by Kayla of the Home Coming & I was partying from time to time.  When Anne & I decided to retire FFBH, I emailed Kayla if she is interested on taking me as her co-host.  She gladly accepted me as her co-host, she's so awesome!  And I think that this is a good start of an exciting 2014 for me.

This party will go live every Monday.  Then Kayla & I individually pick our 3 favorites that will be featured on the next party PLUS it will also be pinned to The DIY'ers Pinterest Board

I hope you will support me as much as you did with the FFBH.

Hope to see your projects starting January 6, 2013.  Come back and party with us!!

Organizing Pots, Pans & why not include the Lids too!

Hello Everyone! I hope all of you did have a wonderful Christmas!

As for me & my family, we really did enjoyed it.  It is my first time to get to spend Christmas with my mother & father now that I have two kids & a husband, it was very special for me.

We also had a small birthday celebration for my daughter that turned three.  I should say it was busy but it was a fun-filled December so far.

Onto today's post, I am so thrilled to show this another organized space in my home!
organized pots, pans, & lids
One of the traditions The Mr. & I do since we got married, is that every Christmas we always get one thing that we both like for the home, aside from the presents that we give each other.  And this year, we got ourselves is a Kenmore cookware set.
Disclaimer: I have no intention of marketing the brand of the product that is used in this post.
We are both happy with this because we really badly needed these.  Wanna see how the old ones look like?
{i actually tried to wash it before taking a photo so that it won't look too bad, but it still is, now idk why did i do that..}
Wouldn't you be happy too?! lol!

So what a perfect time to re-organize my pots & pans cabinets, now that we have a new cookware set.  What it was before wasn't too bad but was also way too far from being perfect either.  Here's how it used to look like.

Making this space organized was super exciting for me, especially when I found these two awesome inspiration from pinterest.  I knew I had can to do this!
Started by emptying the cabinet then scrub it real good.  I paperlined (the same shelf liner that I used here & here) the bottom of it to make it look pretty.
Then a 3/4" tension rod was installed tight as high as it can go.
I use a slim shower hooks to hang all my pans onto the tension rod.

Hanging your shower hooks will all depend on how you want your pans to look like afterwards, mine is facing to the left & it's more functional for me this way - easy to take out & easy to put back

Here's a full shot of all my pans hanging neatly now.

As you can see on my cabinet before, I tried to organize the lids using some kind of a shelf but taking out the lids would also let you need to take out the lids that is leaning on it.

So this time, like in my pinterest inspiration, I used a dish drying rack.  It's an old one that I saved because I thought I'd use it one day & that day has come.

Placing the pots & the rest of my  stuff were pretty easy with the lids & pans already organized.  The pots were stacked according to size & were placed on the second level.
And here's a before & after photo.
Love it!!  How about you, have you been organizing?

Our Pretty turns Three♥

At 05:36 three years ago, I was in labor.  But you made it easy for me because it wasn't too bad at all.

When we first saw your tiny face, tiny hands, tiny feet, tiny you - you made my heartbeat skipped...we have this most beautiful little girl.

Then you started crying.

You make us laugh of your silliness!
You makes us feel better when you give us a kiss & hugs.
Hearing you say "i love you" or "i miss you" just makes my heart melt.

It's been quite a fast three years!

And today, you pretty...turn three♥

Happy 3rd Birthday Reanne.
Your dad & I will try our very best to raise you as a good & God-fearing person.

Merry Christmas

Always remember the reason for the season.
Let's all remember when Jesus was born & was placed in a manger.
This is the day the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice & be glad in it!

Yet another {DIY}! Christmas Tree Shirt

As I have promised yesterday, here I am sharing the {DIY} Christmas Tree Shirt that my daughter wore for my son's Christmas program last week.
christmas tree shirt
Here's that little stinker wearing the christmas tree shirt.
The process is much easier than the Christmas Truck shirt.

Solid white would have been nice but since I don't want to buy a new shirt that she can no longer use next year, I settled with this white princess shirt that my daughter already have.
Then I placed the her name that's in gold sequin fabric cut out, right beside "princess", so it will read "princess reanne".
The christmas tree cut-out was from the same fabric that was used for my son's christmas truck.
And finally, a pink lace was used to make a star.
I adhered all of these onto the shirt, using a fabric glue.

There you have it!  You see how much easier this project is now?

Thanks for reading and if you're going to try this, let me know or send a photo so I could feature it here
