Re-Upholstery Project Coming Up

{via}
Bought this really pretty outdoor fabric at JoAnns, it is HGTV Home Treillage Lapis.  They were on sale♥

And I cannot wait to use this to re-upholster our dining chairs and bench.

We have four dining chairs that we purchased as a set with the dining table and then we purchased the bench separately that I make-overed not too long ago here.

Since our dining chairs seats are in light color - cream'ish to be specific (i think that is specific enough, lol!) .
We did not removed the plastic cover that came with it. You know having two small kids would definitely stain those seats even without actually eating spaghetti everyday lol!

Because the plastic are not supposed to be still on it, that eventually ripped off.  Then I tried to put a clear tape over it so that the fabric will not be exposed.  Hoping that when the kids are big enough not to mess with their food and drinks, we can finally uncover our chair seats and they will still look spankin' brand new!♥

Guess what, my hopes are just too high.  Because even with the plastic and the tape over it, the seats definitely look unattractive to me.

But I kept quite and tried to ignore it because I would not be staring at it!  I will be sitting on it! lol!

I just thought one day I've had enough and told myself - "it's time for a makeover!"

Let me show you how our dining chairs look like as of today.

unattractive right?

This weekend is the target weekend to tackle this re-upholstery project!♥

Looking forward to it!!
