The Glam of Gold

Spring time is just awesome especially when the sun is out!  Because after a long hibernation, I was able to go out and transform something through painting.

My first spring project this year is my console table.
Gotta have some bling in the homefor4sweethome everybody, y'know! lol!

But here's how it used to look like before the transformation.
Boring, right? I chose metallic gold to glam up my console table and the painting process was pretty quick and easy.

Even just after the first coating, it looks so pretty already, especially the legs..
But I had a not-so-smart-moment by not covering(taping off) the bottom part of the glass  top.
And of course we all know what happens when we forget to protect something from a paint? - overspray!
Removing the overspray wasn't all that bad - dishwashing soap, water, papertowel then glass cleaner - were all I used to take it off.

It was just time-consuming...it took me longer to remove the overspray than the actual painting.  I learned the hard way this time :(
So I hope you learn something from me guys... :)  It was all worth it afterwards though because I love how it turned out.
If you want to find out where this console table end up in my home, come back or keep posted by following me on GFC or bloglovin.

  1. So much better after. What a fun first spring project to have tackled. I would have made the exact same mistake and neglected covering the bottom of the glass too. Thanks for reminding us that is important :)
