Stairway Gallery Wall Inspiration

I am looking for inspiration in the www to fill the blank space on the rail-less side of our stairway.
My vision of my stairway gallery wall should at least have photos, first letter of my last name, date(s) to remember and some kind of kids' newborn memorabilia.

I like the shapes of the frames & the ampersand on this one.

I think, i will be using the some metallic gold on my stairway gallery wall, like this one.

i like the framed animal print on this one..

Any tips and/or suggestions?

  2. I would just start collecting frames that you love, so you have a lot of different sizes to work with. And don't forget to select a color scheme first!

Can't wait to see the outcome.

  4. I agree with Meredith. First color theme, then let the frames help you decide on your final design. I would grab what ever inspires me during normal thrifting. But don't throw the baby out with the bath water! If you find a frame you like, I would consider refinishing it if it's not the right color! With the blank wall in our music studio, we picked one big feature piece to put in the middle and have been slowly building outward, which worked well for us too... just thinking out loud! Good luck!
P.S. If you found an ornate old frame and painted it a black matte to contrast the metallics? Ooooooooo!
