DIY: Rope Vases

I've seen this rope vase at Pottery Barn which I really like but so sad because it's no longer available now.

I know, right!? It's so pretty!

Until Courtney of A Thoughtful Place made a post about her DIY'ng the rope vase.

After reading it, she inspired me a lot that I told myself to try it.

Fast-forward to today, I am proud to show you my very own diy: rope vases!!

So it all started with two bottles, one wine bottle and crown royal bottle.

I started with the wine bottle - from the top of the bottle down.

Be generous with your glue if  you want the rope to really stick to the bottle and last longer - I did.
Just put the hot glue directly to the bottle.
When I glued the rope to the Crown Royal bottle, I started from the bottom going up.

When both of my rope vases were done, I am but all ecstatic!

Oh! my heart just melts everytime I see it.
Who would not? I love the texture of the rope and how rustic it looks plus the rope material that are just sticking out (which by the way I did not cut) - looks so natural.

See what I'm sayin? so au naturale should I say...

Now because I am just so happy, I will be showing more pictures of my rope vases.
Loving my project every bit of it.

Here you go.

  9. That's beautiful! I envy you your flexible fingers! Can't do that with athritis! Still I did lots of handcrafts when I was young, so I can't complain, instead I will admire, like now!
